Use caution with links and attachments.] Good morning, I am reaching out on behalf of the Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) Scholarship Subcommittee to announce that we are now accepting 2025-26 Undergraduate Scholarship applications. Because you have previously recommended a student, shared our scholarship information with your students, or are a contact of an ASDSO member, I wanted to ensure you received this year's information. Scholarships will be awarded for the 2025/2026 school year. At least one scholarship will be awarded during the 2025-2026 cycle, with up to $20,000 in scholarship funds available. A travel stipend to the ASDSO annual conference may also be awarded in addition to the scholarship funds. Successful recipients must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents and enrolled full-time at the junior or senior level (during the 2025/2026 school year) in an accredited civil engineering program or a related field as determined by ASDSO. They must also demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in hydraulics, hydrology or geotechnical disciplines, or another discipline related to the design, construction, and operation of dams. Undergraduate students planning to graduate in May/December 2026 or in May/December 2027 will be eligible for the 2025 scholarship. The deadline is March 31, 2025. **Please Note** – these positions are separate of the NRCS grant-funded positions that some people have experienced losing funding (and having summer internship offers rescinded recently). I wanted to let you know that we are accepting applications for the 2025 summer internship program with the NRCS through February 9th. This is an internship we host every year in partnership with the NRCS, and has been a wonderful opportunity for students to gain experience with that agency. Students who have two summers remaining at OSU are eligible to apply for this internship, and will be placed with NRCS locations in Oregon and beyond. Now is your chance to gain invaluable experience working in the environmental, engineering, and planning fields-we are now accepting applications through February 12 for our Spring and Summer Environmental Internships. As an intern, you will work directly with ESA's multi-disciplinary technical teams, with opportunities to conduct field assignments, participate in public outreach efforts, learn about environmental protection regulations and policies, analyze data, contribute to research, and so much more-based on your field of study and interests.
