Position Description Internship staff are to support the X-energy design and engineering of the DOE ARDP award winning Xe-100 High Temperature Gas Cooled (HTGC) Small Modular Reactor (SMR) for a period of 8-10 weeks. Interns needed in the areas of: * Cost & Project Engineer Intern * Electronic & Instrumentation Engineer Intern * Electrical Engineer Intern * Nuclear Systems Engineer Intern * Process Engineer Intern * Programmer Intern * Mechanical Engineer Intern * General Engineering Interns Responsibilities * Participate in project team meetings to solve design challenges and discuss engineering solutions * Provide engineering support on a variety of tasks as assigned by the project lead. Competencies * Strong analytical skills including the ability to problem solve * Proven track record of superior academic achievement * Demonstrated team player * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Follow through with all tasks and assignments in a timely manner Education * Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. program from an ABET-accredited program with coursework focusing on mechanical or electrical engineering. Must have completed 1+ years of program study to be eligible for internship. * Written endorsement from a professor must be submitted with an online application. * Must be authorized to work in the United States and meet the Export Controls requirements of CFR Title 10/Chapter III/Part 810 App A.
