Hello! You are receiving this email because you are on the prism-updates mailing list, which provides news about PRISM data. Below is important information on PRISM data updates and alerts. === PRISM 800m Data Now Available === After many years of making PRISM 4km data available to the public, we are pleased to announce that PRISM 800m data is now also available to the public. Important notes regarding this data release: * Data availability: PRISM 800m data is available via FTP and web services. Please see our Downloads web page (https://prism.oregonstate.edu/downloads) for more information. In the coming months, we will also make the 800m data available on the PRISM website. * Data format: PRISM 800m data is distributed in COG (Cloud Optimized GeoTIFF) format. You can find more information about this on our Formats web page (https://prism.oregonstate.edu/formats). PRISM 4km data is also now available in COG format. Existing data in BIL format will be available for download until 30 September 2025. * Automated data downloads: If you currently fetch PRISM data in an automated fashion, note that changes have been made to both FTP (new directory structure) and web services (new service implemented). Please read the updated FTP and web services documentation on our Downloads web page (https://prism.oregonstate.edu/downloads). The current FTP and web services implementations will remain in place, in parallel with the new versions, until 30 September 2025. This was done to give end users time to modify their download scripts and processes accordingly. === PRISM Data Availability and Information === As a reminder, PRISM datasets can be downloaded via not only the website, but also FTP and web services. Visit https://prism.oregonstate.edu/downloads for more information. Specific dataset information is available in the updated PRISM datasets document: https://prism.oregonstate.edu/documents/PRISM_datasets.pdf Best wishes, PRISM Climate Group
