An outgrowth of immense investment in scientific research initiated by the U.S. Government during World War II, the National Laboratories have served as the leading institutions for scientific innovation in the United States for more than seventy years.

The Energy Department's 17 National Labs tackle the critical scientific challenges of our time -- from combating climate change to discovering the origins of our universe -- and possess unique instruments and facilities, many of which are found nowhere else in the world. They address large scale, complex research and development challenges with a multidisciplinary approach that places an emphasis on translating basic science to innovation.

Come to the National Labs and Government Agencies Fair - to learn more about these organizations, careers and internship opportunities at national labs, research centers and government agencies! This event is open to all STEM students, first year through Ph.D. Register for group or 1:1 as you rotate to sessions of your choosing.

You can sign up for group and 1:1 employer sessions, you can only attend the employer sessions you have registered for.

As you prepare to attend, here are a few tips and reminders.

Sign up for employer sessions in advance. You can only attend sessions you registered for. Check out this article to learn how to register.
Update your profile. Some employers set qualifications to define which students can register for their sessions. To ensure you qualify for employer sessions, make sure your school year, major, GPA, resume/CV, and work authorization status are up-to-date on your profile.
Double check your technology. You’ll need an internet connection, speakers and a microphone, and a supported device. Learn more about technical requirements for virtual fairs here. Please do not use Internet Explorer - the virtual platform is not compatible.
