Greetings friends and fellows of humanitarian engineering,
On Friday, May 9th from 11:30-1:00, we'll be hosting a talk by Dr. Juan Lucena, founding director of the exemplary humanitarian engineering program at the Colorado School of Mines. He will be sharing ideas from his work engaging with communities
in Colombia with students across a variety of time scales with a focus on "urban mining" of waste materials (details attached).
As an important part of this community, it would be wonderful if you would attend to enjoy some free takeout lunch and to foster connections.
Please RSVP at this
link
(by May 1st) to let us know you are coming, and to indicate your restaurant preference and dietary restrictions.
Thank you and I hope to see you on the 9th!
