Use caution with links and attachments.] Dear Gilbert Club, I want to make you aware of a unique opportunity for undergraduates seeking an interdisciplinary field-based course for credit that has a strong geomorphology component, located in the Wrangell Mountains of Alaska and adjacent to the Kennicott and Root Glaciers. There are still some openings for this summer, and we will accept applications on a rolling basis for two more weeks. So if you know anyone who might be interested, please pass this along to them. This 40+ year running, successful field course is a new collaboration between the Wrangell Mountain Center<https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Furldefense.com%2Fv3%2F__https%3A%2F%2Fwww.wrangells.org__%3B!!JYXjzlvb!gFD7ecCjeCQSk_DOE-9F4ZTZildVYI4260tkwDb4WpmI2cHtinZtITp7C_OYUfobC0HjBNbes3qSczch_zDRIIE4CA4WRw%24&data=05%7C02%7Cecoe-ungrads%40engr.orst.edu%7C5c525e67737e4dfe0c7508dc6afdddd5%7Cce6d05e13c5e4d6287a84c4a2713c113%7C0%7C0%7C638502885780444818%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=waNa8oM2FEOKWhMTd39sc5C9z0ZIxkN%2BRMJzp%2Bc%2F8wc%3D&reserved=0> in McCarthy, AK and the University of Maine, and serves as a complement to the well-known Juneau Icefield Research Program<https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Furldefense.com%2Fv3%2F__https%3A%2F%2Fjuneauicefield.org__%3B!!JYXjzlvb!gFD7ecCjeCQSk_DOE-9F4ZTZildVYI4260tkwDb4WpmI2cHtinZtITp7C_OYUfobC0HjBNbes3qSczch_zDRIIHkvaMirA%24&data=05%7C02%7Cecoe-ungrads%40engr.orst.edu%7C5c525e67737e4dfe0c7508dc6afdddd5%7Cce6d05e13c5e4d6287a84c4a2713c113%7C0%7C0%7C638502885780600963%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=yy3tmfPBllHVSbRK1j0iYEguLG2wYHpCdRYdYxXo1kc%3D&reserved=0>.

Our location is exemplary for learning about change and stability in far-from-equilibrium conditions. Student inquire into energy and material flow, tectonics, ecological succession and adaptation in the context of climate change. The program is taught as a collaborative learning community by interdisciplinary faculty, preparing participants for careers engaging complexity in a rapidly changing world.
Students carry out an independent research project designed with faculty guidance in an exemplar landscape for studying and understanding geomorphic processes.
