Below is a brief description of the course along with the syllabus. Please help share this information with your undergraduate students – it could be a great elective option for them! Thanks, Lan ST 437: Data Visualization Explore the art and science of storytelling using data in ST 437: Data Visualization. This course introduces core principles of data visualization, including design, perception, and communication, while giving students the flexibility to tailor their projects and explore topics that align with their interests. Using R and RStudio, students will refine their ability to critique, enhance, and create publication-ready visualizations. With an emphasis on ethical design and practical applications, this course empowers students to craft visualizations that effectively communicate complex information. This 3-credit course is open to all majors who have completed at least one of ST 314, ST 351, or ST 411.
