New Weekly Modeling & Data Analysis Support Space – All Are Welcome!

Dear all, I’m excited to announce a new weekly drop-in session for anyone interested in data analysis, modeling, coding, machine learning, high performance computing cluster (supercomputer), figure-making, etc. Whether you're a student just getting started or a seasoned researcher, this is meant to be a supportive and inclusive space where we can learn from and help each other. When: Wednesdays from 2:00–4:00 PM (spring term | now until June 4th) Where: HOV 100 (Hovland classroom) I’ve reserved the space every week so folks can bring their laptops, ongoing projects, questions, or just curiosity. The goal is to create a low-pressure environment where we can work alongside each other and ask for help when needed. This isn’t a class or formal workshop, and I won’t have all the answers—but the more people show up, the more likely someone in the room will be able to help. It’s also a great opportunity to share tips and tools and grow our collective skills. Even experienced scientists may pick up something new! I’ll be there every week, and John Bolte is also planning to join every other week (schedule permitting) to offer his insights and expertise. All experience levels are welcome, and I especially encourage both students and faculty to stop by and help create a collaborative and safe space to explore our data together. Hope to see you there!
