Subject: 2024 Multicultural Scholars Program - student application due February 1

Hello all,

Happy New Year! The College of Agricultural Sciences Academic Programs Office was recently awarded a USDA NIFA Multicultural Scholars Program grant and we are currently recruiting student participants. One key requirement to note is that accepted students must join the BioResource Research (BRR) B.S. degree – a unique interdisciplinary biosciences major centered around student research. All students are welcome and encouraged to apply; however, we will prioritize first-generation, underrepresented, and low socioeconomic students as well as lower division (<90 credits) students. The application (found here) is due on February 1, 2024.

Further information about the program can be found in the attached flyer and trifold handout. Please let me know if you would like me to provide you with printed copies of either of these materials. If your students have any questions, they can contact Wanda Crannell, co-PI on the grant and advisor for the BRR degree – wanda.crannell@oregonstate.edu, 541-737-2999.

Thank you!

Best,

Rachel
