Hi Everyone,
The Clean Water Technology Initiative’s REU Program for undergraduates will run again this summer. The program is aimed at students that have completed their 2nd or 3rd year at
OSU and it is mainly for OSU students, as there are no funds available for living expenses or for travel.
The CWI REU program will be a 10-week program during the summer (June 17 to August 23) for students that are interested in conducting hands-on and interdisciplinary research on
how the field of engineering can contribute to clean water solutions. During the ten-week program, students will work with a faculty mentor and graduate student on a specific project and will
develop research skills that will help facilitate graduate school opportunities.
There will be $6,000 of funds available for each student, plus support for professional development activities via some lunch gatherings and a fieldtrip. We have 12 faculty members
in CBEE and BEE sponsoring CWI REU projects.
The application site is open as of today, and applications are due April 22nd, with responses back out by May 9th.

Please share this info with your 2nd and 3rd year students that might be interested.
Thanks,
