Hello all,

The Hydrophiles 14th Annual PNW Water Research Symposium is fast approaching!  Please mark your calendars for May 20th and 21st in the MU Horizon Room for two days of amazing student-led science!  We have 35+ student presentations from across the PNW as well as multiple workshops and panels! See the attached materials for the complete schedule.  I'd like to highlight our two compelling keynote speakers:

Kai Huschke, Executive director at CELDF (link) presents
A Truth and Reckoning with Water: Ending an Abusive Relationship
on Monday, May 20th at 1 pm

and

Michael Belchik, Senior water policy analyst with the Yurok Tribe (link) presents:
Indigenous and Western Science Change the Course of History; How Dam Removal Became a Reality on the Klamath River
on Tuesday, May 21st at 1 pm

Keep an eye on our website for updates and a complete abstract/workshop booklet by the end of the week. We look forward to seeing you at the 14th annual PNW Water Research Symposium!  A reminder that attendance is free, and breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Finally, for faculty members interested in judging student presentations and posters we need volunteers!  Please reach out to rosenblz@oregonstate.edu for more information if you would like to volunteer ~2 hours of time during the poster and oral sessions.  Thank you!

Very waterly yours,
Will
