Hello Ecological Engineering Undergrads!!

It’s so exciting to have you back on campus and gearing up for classes.  I cannot wait to see your faces (and I’ve already seen a few!) and help you navigate your 2024-2025 year.  First year students, you’ll still work with your First-Year assigned advisor (https://engineering.oregonstate.edu/tools-services/advising/first-year-advising)  OSU is so beautiful right now (even with the pouring rain today) and I hope you can take a few moments to meander around, enjoy the sunshine (when it comes back), and absorb the energy of the new term.

BEE Welcome Back Pizza Party:

Thursday, October 3rd, 11:30-1 PM in Gilmore Hall 1st Floor

Mentor Collective:

My name is Jennifer Cohen, and I am the Office Manager for Biological & Ecological Engineering.

Let me be the first of many to say: Welcome to the start of the year with the BEE community! We have an exciting program for our Ecological Engineering undergraduates continuing this year thanks to input from our Alumni during exit interviews and BEE Department Head’s, Dr. Adam Ward, excitement to invest in ever students success while studying with us and beyond.

We would like to invite you to participate in the Biological & Ecological Engineering Mentor Collective Program. When you sign up for this mentorship program, you will be matched with an alumni mentor. A mentor can provide support and guidance because they’ve been where you are now.

To get started, register and complete a short survey (this will take you 3 minutes) telling us about yourself, and we’ll match you with a mentor with similar interests and background, or what’s important to you.

Click here to register and complete your survey

You can expect an email from the Mentor Collective team with more information—be sure to check it out, and do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions you may have. Or email: help@mentorcollective.org.

Advising Appointments:

First-Year Students: You will continue to work with your First-Year Advisor: https://engineering.oregonstate.edu/tools-services/advising/first-year-advising (and will get an email from them soon about scheduling appointments).  If you’d like to meet with me for some reason, reach out via email and we will determine if that makes sense at this time.

Not First-Year Students (taking BEE courses): Schedule an appointment with me through BeaverHub or the link in my email signature below.

It is going to be a great year!!

Kind regards,

Khrystal
