Last year, we received over 250 applicants, out of which seven were selected. We aim to build a multi-disciplinary internship team with candidates from science and engineering backgrounds, particularly those with knowledge in hydrogeology, ecology, chemistry, environmental data analytics/geographic information systems, and other relevant disciplines. This team will support our 2024 Internship Project Assignment, involving literature and field research on various environmental impacts on the Passaic River, with a focus on river sediments and wetlands. The internship spans 10 weeks, from June 10 to August 16, 2024, primarily conducted through remote work. Interns are required to commit to a minimum of 40 hours per week (paid position), engaging in independent and collaboration-based assignments. As part of the program, there will be three 1-week in-person group sessions at the dedicated EHS Support workspace in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, during the first, middle, and last weeks of the 10-week program. Regarding the application, it is imperative that all requested information is provided. We had applicants last year that did not fully complete the application and those applications were immediately rejected prior to the review process. Please feel free to share this information with anyone who may be interested in our summer internship program.
