We will go over concepts including conception/planning, policy frameworks, resilience, risk, design, and adaptive management. The course will have lectures and two 6 hour field trips January 13, February 17 to visit some nature based design projects on the Oregon and possibly Washington coasts. The course will be primarily a project based course.
