Dear REU Participant,
Hope your Fall term is going well. You should have all received an invitation to the listserv today for the REU program on Engineering for Bouncing Back and Clean Water Initiative.
In addition to the REU program at OSU this year, many other universities across the country also supported REU programs on their campuses this year. Two colleagues in University of Utah and Worcester State University are conducting a nation-wide
research study to evaluate how the REU programs are being conducted. Below is an invitation to you to provide feedback to this nation-wide study.
·
The study involves a survey about your research and mentoring experiences during the summer REU. Participating is voluntary, and you do not have to take the survey. If you do take the survey, you will help transform understanding
of the role of diversity in research and mentoring outcomes for college students. The results will also be used to understand the COVID-19 pandemic’s impacts and to help REU program directors like me be better prepared for future interruptions.
·
I will not have access to any of the data, and I will never see your responses. Data will be analyzed by my colleagues Drs. Sara Grineski and Timothy Collins at the University of Utah, and Dr. Danielle Morales at Worcester State
University.
·
You will receive a $20 Amazon e-gift card as a token of appreciation for completing the survey. Please click here to take the survey:
https://csbsutah.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6XPLUyhjJlHszvE.
·
It should take less than 30 minutes to complete.
·
If you have questions about the survey or the project, you may contact my colleagues, Dr. Sara Grineski (sara.grineski@soc.utah.edu), Dr. Danielle Morales (dmorales@worcester.edu), or Dr. Timothy Collins (tim.collins@geog.utah.edu).
Keep in touch!
Thanks.
Regards,
Meghna.
