Hello Everyone, The Department of Crop and Soil Science is searching for an Undergraduate Research Technician with web development skills that has experience in making interactive maps and is proficient in GIS, R, Python/Java Script or a programming language. This position will create maps and promotional materials for the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument, including soil orders and key soil properties, from SSURGO maps, create an interactive website and educational resources to show these maps. The focus of these maps is on soil formation and distribution, soil health, soil erosion, degradation/restoration, climate change, and fire effects on soil.
