We hope your Fall term is off to a good start! We want to send you our greetings and well wishes along with some policy reminders and a few important deadlines.  

 

We like to keep you informed of what lies ahead and do our best not to overload you with messages. However, if you have not heard from us in a while, sometimes our messages will end up in your junk folders. Please check there so you are not missing any deadlines or changes.

We have listed some important deadlines for the Fall term. You can find an entire list of deadlines by accessing the online Academic Calendar. All submission deadlines are due by 11:55 pm, Pacific Time.

  • International Students need to start the process 3-4 days prior to this date.

  1. Considering whether to Drop a course or Withdraw from the Term?
    1. Please carefully go through the Drop/Withdraw link. 
    2. If you are Dropping or Withdrawing from all your courses, you will be prompted to fill out the Withdraw Survey. 
    3. Please contact your advisor or attend Virtual Drop-in before the Drop or Withdraw deadlines. We need to go through the policy with you, and make sure you know what your next steps are. Be aware that deadlines may fall on a Sunday, you will need to contact your advisor by 12 pm on the Friday prior to the deadline. 
  1. Are you graduating this term? Congrats! You do not have to apply for graduation anymore, but please check in with your primary advisor and be on the lookout for any emails from the Graduation team. 
  2. Have you checked in with your primary advisor? If you need assistance with your schedule or planning, please schedule an appointment.
  3. Prepare for classes. Please read over your course syllabi and have all the technology required for the program. 
  4. Textbook information is found here. 
  5. International students: If you would like to drop your course load to less than 12 credits, there is an Alternative Enrollment option available. Please contact your primary advisor for more information. If you have Visa questions, please contact OIS or email ois.student@oregonstate.edu.
