Hello,
Summer term registration begins
Monday, April 17th at 8:00 am Pacific.
Below are some reminders about Summer Term.
-
PIN: Summer term
does not require a registration PIN. However, we recommend you check in with your primary advisor and register at least two weeks in advance of classes to ensure you can get into the courses you want to take. You can find more information regarding registration
on your MyOregonState page or here.
-
Most ECE and CS classes are offered in Session 3, as shown in the
Academic
Calendar. Summer term Session 3 begins on June 26th and ends on August 18th.
a.
Summer Session 3 is only 8 weeks long (including finals) as opposed to the normal 11-week term for
Fall, Winter, and Spring. As a result, the courses can be more rigorous, as you are learning the same content, just in a shorter amount of time. We recommend that you consider taking fewer courses than usual or a course load that you feel will be less challenging
for you.
-
Students that plan on utilizing financial aid or federal loans
for Summer 2023 term courses will need to complete a 2023-2024 FAFSA application; more information can be found on the
Financial
Aid and Tuition Summer Session webpage.
-
International students who would like to take less than 12 credits or have questions regarding student visa status need to contact the
Office of International Services.
-
If you have any questions about your summer term academic plan, please reach out to your
primary advisor or come to our
Drop-in hours.
Please note: OSU is adopting a common course numbering system that is used in Oregon community colleges. The
following are changing starting Summer 2023:
-
OSU’s WR 327 will change to WR 227Z
-
WR 121 will change to WR 121Z and COMM 111 will change to COMM 111Z
-
OSU’s COMM 111Z and WR 227Z will all increase in credit count, from 3 credits to 4 credits
-
OSU will no longer offer WR 222 after Spring term 2023.
As you plan for future term registration, please see our updated
EECS Schedule Forecast.
