Now that your spring term is underway, it is time to think about summer registration.
Summer Term Registration begins Sunday, April 11th
Below are some reminders about Summer Term.
-
Summer Term does not require a registration pin. However, we recommend you check in with your primary advisor and register at least 2 weeks in advance of classes to ensure you are able to get into the courses you want to take. You can find more
information regarding registration on your MyOregonState page or here.
-
Most ECE and CS classes are offered in “Session 3,” as shown for the Summer Term
Academic Calendar. Summer Term Session 3 begins on June 21st and ends on August 13th.
-
Summer Session is only 8 weeks long (including finals) as opposed to the normal 11 week term for Fall, Winter, and Spring. As a result, the courses can be more rigorous, as you are learning the same content, just in a shorter amount of time. We recommend
that you consider taking less courses than usual or a course load that you feel will be less challenging for you.
-
Students that plan on utilizing financial aid or federal loans for Summer 2021 Term courses
will need to complete a 2020-2021 FAFSA application; more information can be found on the freshly updated
Financial Aid and Tuition Summer Session webpage.
-
If you have any questions about your summer term academic plan, please reach out to your
primary advisor or come to our
Drop-in hours.
Thank you and let us know if you have any questions.
