Job Description Microchip Technology is hiring a summer intern in our Process Engineering department in Gresham, OR. This position provides students with the opportunity to gain hands on experience in a high-volume wafer fab. The duration of this paid internship is 3 months for the summer of 2021. This is one of two summer internships available in the department. In order to be considered for both internships, please submit your application for each position. Duties (include but not limited to): * Participate in project work as a member of a cross functional team * Learn and apply SPC principles in a production environment * Design and analyze experiments to qualify new production tools and process technologies * Areas include Diffusion/Implant, Etch, Photo, Thin Films/CMP Job Requirements * Minimum GPA 3.0. * Actively working toward a BS in Material Science, Physics, Chemical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent. * General knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing related themes and terminologies. * Proficiency in written and oral communication. * Experience with design of experiments (DOE) principles and process characterization in a manufacturing environment. * Experience in statistical analysis (ANOVA, sample / population comparisons, hypothesis testing, sample size, modeling, etc.) https://careers.microchip.com/jobsearch/job-details/intern-engineering-13435...
