Anchor QEA is seeking a Laboratory Scientist

Anchor QEA is seeking to hire a Laboratory Scientist to work full-time in the Environmental Geochemistry Laboratory in the Portland Office. We are interested in a candidate that has the capacity to grow, is a quick learner, is detail-orientated, enjoys working independently and with a team, and possesses strong written and verbal communication skills. A successful candidate will have a degree in geological science, chemistry, environmental science, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or related program as well as a strong interest in environmental geochemistry and the operation of a stellar environmental geochemistry laboratory. A successful candidate will have opportunities to work on a variety of tasks of differing complexities, both independently and in team environments, learning directly from leaders in the industry. Responsibilities * Perform environmental geochemical laboratory work, including data analysis and reporting, to support remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedy implementation, and research and development initiatives * Maintain laboratory equipment and chemical, sample, and waste inventories * Develop and implement quality assurance/quality control practices and standard operating procedures * Some fieldwork may be required (e.g., to support passive sampling or other sophisticated data collection) What Are We Looking For?
