The Process Engineer will work across all functional areas in this group to provide support and back-up coverage for manufacturing processes in CMP, Implant, RTP and BGBM. Depending on previous experience, the engineer may also assume ownership of a particular tool set after an initial training period. The engineer will participate in SPC, yield enhancement, process improvement and new tool qualification activities in collaboration with other engineers. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Support of existing processes in the 200mm fab * Data collection and analysis of engineering tests for new tool/process qualification * Regular review of SPC charts, and initial response to out of control measurements * Disposition of discrepant material, including troubleshooting/diagnosis of cause per existing procedures, and implementation of preventative actions * Writing/Updating specs for tools, processes and operations * Assist in training manufacturing techs on new and/or established processes * Eventual ownership of a process area after demonstration of knowledge and capability REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE * BS, Masters or Ph.D. degree in physics, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, material science, or other related discipline * Hands-on experience in BGBM, CMP, Implant or RTP desired but not necessary OTHER QUALIFICATIONS * Familiarity with SPC and statistical analysis * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work with people one on one and in a team environment * Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; other computer skills a plus Josefine Fleetwood (She/Her), Employer Relations Manager Oregon State University | College of Engineering School of Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering School of Nuclear Science and Engineering Department of Biological and Ecological Engineering 116 Johnson Hall - Room 112 541-737-7286 Josefine.fleetwood@oregonstate.edu<mailto:Josefine.fleetwood@oregonstate.edu>
