Job Title: Internship, Cell Biology/Bioengineering

Reports to: Sr Manager, R&D

Location: Eugene, OR

Position Summary:

This internship is an opportunity for a self-motivated and independent researcher to gain research and development experience in a fast-moving, team oriented industrial setting. The successful candidate will apply biology and engineering skills to develop new products for the life sciences and support troubleshooting in existing product lines.

Responsibilities

• Experimental design and execution, troubleshooting, data analysis and present results

• Maintain a detailed and accurate laboratory notebook

Work on a cross-functional team

• Perform tasks independently with guidance

 

Desired Skills

•Demonstrated excellent experimental design, execution and data analysis

• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills

Demonstrated ability to work alongside scientists from different backgrounds in a team environment

Knowledge and experience working with laboratory instrumentation and software

 •Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team

• Willingness to learn and be mentored

 

Requirements

To be eligible for an internship, candidates must:

Have or working on a B.S. degree in biology, bioengineering, engineering or other relevant field

 Have some experience in a research laboratory setting

• Have experience with common biology lab techniques such as microscopy
