Environment health, and safety (EHS) is a discipline that studies and implements practical aspects of environmental protection and safety at work. This position will work with
a team of six Environmental and Safety professionals to accomplish tasks to meet annual requirements of a semiconductor manufacturing EHS management system. The internship will also provide the opportunity to work on special projects to make improvements
to the work environments, with some flexibility to focus on the intern's specific interests in the EH&S field. The intern will perform a variety of activities ranging from field safety audits to IH assessments to chemical inventory management system reporting.
Special projects could include ergonomic improvements, recycling system updates, identifying material reuse opportunities, or method development for improving routine task safety. The ideal applicant should have a strong knowledge of chemistry, interest in
extensive field work, excellent communication skills, and be self-motivated with good organizational skills.
This position is nonexempt; and your base pay will be $22.50 per hour.
