Just is seeking a motivated summer intern to join the Lab Automation Team in Biotherapeutic Process and Product Design. Our automation engineers are passionate about making lab
workflows more robust, easier to run, and higher throughput. This internship will give you the opportunity to make a measurable difference in the lab by developing an automated protocol that can be used across multiple teams of scientists.
Responsibilities
Work with a mentor to develop a liquid handling protocol for use in protein purification and formulation workflows. This will include:
-Liquid handler software training
-Developing protocols on a liquid handler
-Teaching and defining labware
-Optimizing liquid classes for accurate pipetting
-Designing and analyzing experiments
-Presenting outcomes to scientific staff
Preferred Qualifications
Working towards a BS/MS in science or engineering
Prior wet laboratory coursework
Prior programming coursework
Pluses
General understanding of protein purification
Wet lab research experience
Hands-on programming experience
