The early FEL Engineer works with R&D, Manufacturing Technical, and other functions to complete Basic Data and then evaluates and translates technology alternatives into conceptual design to support business decision making. This role assists in defining the business alternatives through asset foot-printing support and various other business-related selection processes (technology options, size, scale, cost and schedule, etc). Reviews and evaluates non-capital alternatives (i.e. tolling, existing facilities) and helps in analysis of manufacturing cost. Works closely with business, finance, investment engineering, and technical consultants to develop economics and risk profile of alternatives. May be engaged in FEL 1/2 activities for projects >US $10MM to insure project success. This is a global role and reports to the Business Engineering Manager, Mobility & Materials (M&M).
