POSITION SUMMARY Jireh Semiconductor is offering a paid Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Internship in for Summer 2023. This is intended to be a three-month internship on site at our Hillsboro, OR facility. We are looking for a passionate, driven student who would like the opportunity to learn more about EHS in the Semiconductor Manufacturing Industry.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gather and analyze data or information, provide input to, and prepare various documents (e.g., develop procedures, reports, calculations).
• Participate in EHS inspections of work areas.
• Perform technical analysis of data and apply effective analytical and problem-solving skills to complex problems.
• Perform or assist in assessments of EHS program areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Regularly required to sit or stand and move around the facility in both industrial areas as well as a class 100 clean room.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Must be a college or university student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering (e.g., Chemical, Environmental, Civil), Physical Sciences (e.g., Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science), industrial hygiene, occupational safety or equivalent program.
• Undergraduate and graduate students will both be considered.
• Preference will be given to those attending school in Oregon.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

• Prefer strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong ownership and passion for success.
• Ability to work with people one on one and in a team environment.
