Position Title: Manufacturing Engineer Category/Shift: Full-time, Salaried, Exempt The Job You Will Perform: * Pulp & Paper Mill-based role interacting with engineers, hourly employees, contractors, and managers * Safety leadership-awareness of safety hazards, courage to stop a job if notice something unsafe, wears appropriate PPE, etc. * Specific responsibilities vary by location & role. In this role, you will support daily R&D operations to ensure the team has the infrastructure, equipment, materials, and processes in place for an efficient and safe work environment. What will you do? · Coordinate with Facilities and Quality Assurance (QA) teams the calibration and preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment, management of service contracts, on-site service visits, and capital equipment procurement and certification. · Responsible for the maintenance of the tissue culture and flow cytometry core facilities ensuring reagents are stocked, space well organized, and instruments are always accurately calibrated and functional. · Coordinate tracking, ordering, and stocking of inventory, shipping and receiving, and general lab support activities (annual pipette calibrations, space management activities, etc.). · Collaborate with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) on safety compliance through management of chemical and biohazardous materials, appropriate follow-up on safety audit findings, and safety committee representation. · Support supervisory team on budget request proposals and management of approved budgets. · Conduct laboratory experiments, analyze data, and present findings under the supervision of lead scientists in support of ongoing research projects. Microelectronic Packaging Research and Development Engineer, Day Shift Job Description Microelectronic Packaging Research and Development (R&D) Engineers with the Wafer Assembly Technology Development (WATD) team, provide on shift sustaining support for integrated circuit or semiconductor processes, project collaboration, and package design/development process feedback. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: * Product disposition and new product recipe creation, documentation of process issues, and data collection using area specific methods. * Supporting Assembly processes/equipment improvement, applying novel concepts in Die Prep technology solutions for next-generation Central Processing Units (CPUs) and devices. * Helping to develop innovative solutions to enable Intel's roadmap of future assembly packaging platform technologies. In this position, you will be improving, sustaining, and co-developing processes to meet quality, reliability, cost, yield, productivity and manufacturability requirements. The Summer 2022 OASE applications and list of participating businesses are live! Applications are due April 15, 2022 at 5pm. Oregon-based 3rd and 4th year undergraduates and graduate students are welcome to apply for OASE internships. Since its pilot year in 2017, Oregon Sea Grant and the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality have administered the OASE program through funding obtained by an EPA Pollution Prevention grant. Third- and fourth-year college students and graduate students are recruited to conduct research that helps Oregon businesses reach their waste prevention and sustainability goals. Students are located at the business fulltime for 10 weeks during the summer. The EPA grant helps offset program costs, and intern stipends are administered by Oregon Sea Grant. This is a win-win program that supports environmental workforce development, waste reduction, environmental protection and economic savings. Oregon State University is pleased to announce summer internships for undergraduate students on the topic of resilience. The Engineering for Bouncing Back (EBB) and Clean Water Initiative (CWI) programs will provide research experiences for undergraduates (REU) in hand-on and interdisciplinary research on building resilient communities. During the ten-week program, students will work with a faculty mentor and graduate student on a specific project and develop research skills to increase graduate school opportunities. In addition, students will participate in cohort-building activities such as field trips to communities facing unique challenges in resilience and film nights focused on community resilience stories. Professional development activities include weekly skill-building workshops and panels, a 10-page project report, and a final program symposium. Primary Responsibilities: *Own formulating frequent, repeatable EUV photoresist batches on our production line for worldwide customer delivery *Maintain flexibility to support and streamline standard and non-standard formulation production runs *Perform hands-on analytical measurements of in-process samples and other simple wet-bench chemistry, including use of laboratory fume hoods and inert gloveboxes *Communicate and engage with a diverse team of chemists, engineers, and technicians *Document data and ensure data integrity, demonstrating good lab book practices and quality control metrics *Analyze data using statistical control methods, respond to process deviations, and report findings to production team led by Director of Engineering *Conduct experiments on incoming materials to maintain supply assurance *Create and update controlled documentation of each process step *Improve data tracking protocols, including quality control metrics *Qualify changes in coordination with management, equipment, and quality groups *Use quality management systems to escalate process deviations to material review board *Develop and update process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) and work with equipment engineers to ensure capital projects fulfil Inpria's scale-up needs *Work in cleanroom environments and practice clean handling procedures to minimize contamination Production Engineer Key Qualifications: *BS or MS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent through experience *0-2 years experience working in a production scale position *Demonstration of active and effective communication skills, verbal and written *Well organized, flexible, enthusiastic, and eager to learn *Experience with high-purity chemical handling is a plus Knowledge of lithographic materials is a plus *Experience with JMP or statistical data analysis is beneficial *Self-driven and proactive in achieving goals *Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment Compensation & Benefits: Inpria offers competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package, including health insurance and 401k match. This internship position is within the Facilities & Engineering organization at Genentech’s Vacaville facility. Vacaville Operations is a large‑scale mammalian cell culture production facility designed around the monoclonal antibody (MAb) platform. It is one of six Drug Substance production sites in the Roche/Genentech Biologics production network. The site consists of two large-scale manufacturing facilities (CCP1 and CCP2), a hub warehouse, and QC laboratories that serve both local and network production operations. In this position, you will support the Facilities & Engineering organization that is responsible for life-cycle management and maintenance of all site equipment and facilities, utility systems operations and site services at the Vacaville Drug Substance Manufacturing Facility to maintain GMP/regulatory compliance. You will provide engineering, scientific and technical judgment as part of a team responsible for delivering high-quality biopharmaceutical products to patients. Integrity, accountability, and strong dedication to the patients we serve are critical to this role. Possible assignments include, but are not limited to the following: · Learn the specific activities related to technical support, routine maintenance, and problem-solving including equipment troubleshooting and utilizing equipment trends to ensure reliable system performance in a cGMP environment. · Assist the Genentech Vacaville Engineering team in completing core functional responsibilities. Generally, Engineering supports the Design and Implementation of Capital Projects by generating design options and recommendations and by providing oversight of the technical change control process during implementation. Our intern may also provide field surveying of process & utility systems, data collection & handling as well as document verification & updates. · Learn and apply cGMP principles. · Assisting in determining ways to reduce human error in F&E in order to help us with our site goal of increasing golden batches. · Determine the consequences of failures in facilities and engineering and how this can impact our products, patients, and reputation. Research best practices to reduce microbial contamination in the pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. · Perform engineering calculations for process equipment, as needed. · Review vendor drawings, walk-down of piping and instrumentation diagrams, participate in equipment design, instrument specification, and unit operations data review. · Gain an understanding of how technical change control and continuous improvements are implemented for cGMP manufacturing equipment and systems.
