Every year, Anchor QEA's Internship Program offers recent and soon-to-be graduates the opportunity to gain real-life technical and professional experience in locations across the country. The application window for 2023 internships will be open from March 1 through March 17. Interns will experience a combination of hands-on fieldwork and a defined project within their scope of study, as well as the opportunity for exposure to other service areas within our firm. There will opportunities to work with senior- and principal-level professionals, assisting with project-related tasks and gaining insight into the world of professional consulting. Interns will have a solid understanding of environmental consulting at the conclusion of the program. Who Should Apply? 2023 Summer Intern - EHS WaferTech is where you see people in action developing and sustaining technology leadership, manufacturing excellence, and customer collaboration. Environment health, and safety (EHS) is a discipline that studies and implements practical aspects of environmental protection and safety at work. This position will work with a team of six Environmental and Safety professionals to accomplish tasks to meet annual requirements of a semiconductor manufacturing EHS management system. The internship will also provide the opportunity to work on special projects to make improvements to the work environments, with some flexibility to focus on the intern's specific interests in the EH&S field. The intern will perform a variety of activities ranging from field safety audits to IH assessments to chemical inventory management system reporting. Special projects could include ergonomic improvements, recycling system updates, identifying material reuse opportunities, or method development for improving routine task safety. The ideal applicant should have a strong knowledge of chemistry, interest in extensive field work, excellent communication skills, and be self-motivated with good organizational skills. This position is nonexempt; and your base pay will be $22.50 per hour. Assist with EA program standardization across all PCC facilities, where applicable. * Assist in developing and communicating internal and external environmental policies and programs to all departments. * Provide technical support, advice, and troubleshooting for environmental regulations (air, water, waste, etc.). * Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit requirements. * Conduct or coordinate sampling, monitoring, and inspections as required by permit and/or regulations. * Perform environmental monitoring, recordkeeping and reporting related to environmental management systems and permits. * Assist with timely submission and/or review of all required environmental reports and documentation. This includes, but is not limited to: Monthly Wastewater Reports, Notices of Intent to Operate, Stormwater Reports, Stormwater and Wastewater Permit Renewal applications, Discharge Monitoring Reports, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) plans, SPCC plans, Monthly Air Permitting compliance, Non-Compliance/Upset reporting as needed, NESHAP reporting, etc. * Other duties as assigned.
