SHyNE Resource has developed a unique REU program providing facilities‐focused research projects. Research projects are developed in close collaboration between SHyNE facility staff and Northwestern faculty. This combination of a traditional REU research experience with the hands‐on instrumentation focus provides an opportunity for students to learn new skills and enrich their experience. We are currently recruiting for the new NSF “REU Site: Atmospheric Research and Engineering Solutions for Climate Change and Environmental Challenges<https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nsf.g…>” at University at Albany starting from summer 2024. The REU Site at UAlbany is a 10-week summer program designed to bring together each year a cohort of 8 diverse undergraduate students in conducting research on atmospheric sciences and environmental engineering solutions with a coherent theme to address climate change and environmental challenges.
