BEE Food Drive Prize Raffle

Hello, As a part of the ongoing Food Drive, the Department of Biological and Ecological Engineering is conducting a prize raffle! Come by Gilmore 116 from 9am-4pm to buy tickets to win OSU gear or decorations! You can buy 1 ticket for $2 or 3 tickets for $5, and all proceeds go to the Linn-Benton County Food Share. The raffle is open now until 2/23, and the prizes are pictured below. The Flea Market is still happening until then, so feel free to take a look at what we have still in store. Hi All, The BEE Food Drive Flea Market & Raffle is taking place from the 19th to the 23rd in the Gilmore Main Office. Our raffle items include art, gift certificates to local businesses, and more! Raffle tickets are $2 for a single ticket or $3 for five tickets. Big thank you to Chad Higgins, Daphne Guo, Grace Boisen, Draga Zheleva, John Selker, Randy Thorp, Jen Cohen, and anyone else that I might have missed for the wonderful donations we've received. Continued donations are still being accepted if you would like to bring in something to sell or raffle. OSU Food Drive - Halfway there!

We are already halfway through the food drive and have had some amazing fundraisers thanks to you! So far, not including payroll contributions, BEE has collected enough to provide over 1800 meals to the local community. A huge thank you to the Ecological Engineering Student Society for their donations from their successful plant sale on Wednesday and to all the faculty and staff who have donated for the cookie decorating, hot drink bar, PB&J and flea market (going on next week). We are still happy to take any contributions you might have for our flea market/art sale and RAFFLE, both taking place next week. We also have a box in the front office to collect non-perishable food items. Please remember we can't take glass. We couldn't do all this without the generous donations from New Morning Bakery so if you're out and about, please show them some love. They donate hundreds of cookies and tons of loaves of bread to help us raise these funds. Did you know that in Oregon, 52,000 children are living in families experiencing extreme poverty? Nothing good happens when you are hungry. Hunger negatively impacts learning, health, and productivity. It affects children, the elderly, and adults. * Children who are hungry have more difficulty learning in school. * Childhood hunger and malnutrition can lead to irreversible health problems later in life. * Seniors and people with medical issues can struggle to maintain their health if they are hungry or malnourished. Donations made during the Food Drive will help fight against these effects. Just a reminder that payroll contributions are still the best way to raise funds! Hi all! The Food Drive is underway at OSU and BEE is putting on some exciting events to raise money for the Linn Benton Food Share. Here are some of our upcoming events: This Week: * BEE Annual PB&J Bar: Stop by Gilmore Hall 116 between 9 a.m.-4 p.m. throughout the month of February to make your own PB&J. Suggested donation of $3. Many thanks to the generous bread donation from New Morning Bakery, which will allow the event to continue all month. * TOMORROW $1 Beverage Sale: Grab a coffee, tea or hot chocolate for $1 in Gilmore 116 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Feb. 7. Next Week: * Cookie Decorating: Decorate a cookie generously donated by New Morning Bakery for $3 in Gilmore Hall from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on February 13th. * EESS Plant Sale: The Ecological Engineering Student Society is holding a plant sale from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. on February 14th at Gilmore Hall.
